Company Description


We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced senior loan officer to join our dynamic team at Shenton Credit, a leading moneylender business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in upholding our professional image, ensuring exemplary customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.


  • Customer Service & Client Engagement
    Provide professional and friendly customer service by engaging clients during appointments and follow-ups, ensuring a positive experience and addressing enquiries in person or over the phone.
  • Loan Advisory & Product Explanation
    Guide clients through suitable loan packages by assessing their financial needs, explaining loan terms, repayment plans, and procedures in a clear and transparent manner.
  • Financial Assessment & Credit Evaluation
    Conduct comprehensive assessments of applicants’ income, credit history, and debt-to-income ratio to recommend appropriate loan solutions and ensure responsible lending.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    Collect, verify, and review all applicant documentation for completeness and accuracy, while ensuring strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal compliance standards.
  • Loan Processing & Coordination
    Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate efficient loan processing, from application to approval and disbursement, resolving any issues promptly.
  • Repayment Management & Collections
    Monitor loan accounts for timely repayments, follow up professionally with clients on overdue payments, and discuss alternative repayment or reloan plans where necessary.
  • Record Keeping & Data Management
    Maintain and update accurate client records in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal documentation policies.
  • Client Relations & Business Development
    Build and maintain good relationships with clients and industry partners to encourage referrals, while supporting team goals and promoting the company’s reputation for service excellence.
  • Training & Compliance Updates
    Participate in regular training to stay updated on lending regulations and industry practices, contributing to overall professionalism and compliance.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties
    Assist with other administrative or operational duties as assigned to support smooth business operations and team efficiency.


Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in loan origination, financial analysis, or customer service within the lending industry, with demonstrated knowledge and application of compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
