Man Truck Mechanic

Location : West region

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform overhaul and repair work on vehicles and equipment, ensuring tasks are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, and provide effective repair recommendations.
• Identify and specify correct replacement parts, and accurately update part details in the Work Order system as required.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventive maintenance on trucks to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
• Carry out a wide range of repair activities, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs, in line with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Record detailed repair activities and time taken for each task in the Work Order for proper tracking and documentation.
• Maintain clear communication with the Team Leader regarding job progress, repair requirements, or unexpected issues.
• Follow all warranty procedures, including correct tagging, return, and storage of warranty parts.
• Support workshop operations by performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Job Requirements :

• Possess minimum NITEC in Automotive Technology or former NTC 3/2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in servicing and repairing heavy trucks
• Possess knowledge in vehicle electrical circuit diagram, deep engine, transmission and brake system is an advantage
