Junior Trader

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated Junior Trader to support coffee trading operations.

This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge of trading or procurement and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coffee Procurement

• Assist in green/soluble coffee purchase operations
• Support in preparing supplier offers and checking supply/demand data
• Purchase green/soluble coffee for group companies
• Handle supplier/partner negotiations and ensure contract fulfillment

2. Contract Administration

• Review new contracts at the start of each month
• Monitor outstanding contracts quarterly
• Assist with procurement-related admin tasks

3. Budgeting and Analysis

• Perform data analysis and forecasting support
• Prepare internal reports and updates for management

4. Operational Support

• Present market outlooks and forecasts to operating companies
• Track order progress and assist in pricing and cost control

5. Communication & Reporting

• Communicate with suppliers and internal teams (email, phone, meetings)

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in coffee procurement
• Fluent in business English and Japanese
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to grow in a trading role
