Job Summary:

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating and securing catering business through proactive sales efforts, excellent client relationship management, and detailed event planning. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs, creating customized proposals, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring seamless event execution. The ideal candidate will have strong hospitality experience, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new catering sales opportunities through cold calls, networking, and site visits.
  • Respond promptly to catering inquiries and prepare detailed proposals and quotations tailored to client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding organizers, and venue partners.
  • Conduct site inspections and client meetings to finalize event details and logistics.
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, and service teams to ensure accurate execution of events.
  • Maintain an updated database of leads, bookings, and client preferences using CRM software.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Coordinate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns for catering services.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote catering services.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in catering sales, banquet sales, or hospitality sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the catering or F&B industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Event Temple, or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
