Job Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver structured renal nursing training programmes (e.g., dialysis care, renal nutrition, fluid management, peritoneal and haemodialysis).
- Identify learning needs and coordinate continuing education for renal nurses to ensure competency and currency in practice.
- Conduct regular curriculum reviews and update training content in alignment with current trends, research, and evidence-based practices.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation programmes for new renal nurses to support their integration and readiness for clinical practice.
- Conduct competency-based training, simulation-based sessions, and clinical skills assessments for nurses involved in renal care.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, outcome measures, and performance indicators.
- Mentor and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, safe, and person-centred renal care across care settings.
- Guide and coach junior nurse educators and clinical instructors in planning and delivering renal education.
- Promote the adoption of evidence-based practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in renal nursing.
- Drive continuous quality improvement by participating in audits, reviews, and professional development programmes.
- Review, develop, and update clinical practice guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to renal nursing care.
- Ensure alignment with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) standards, institutional protocols, and national clinical practice guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree in Nursing or Education is preferred.
- Post-basic qualification / Advanced Diploma in Renal Nursing is essential.
- At least 2-4 years of experience as Nurse Educator in an acute renal/dialysis care setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Passion for professional practice development and improving patient outcomes.
