Product Developer

Job Description

The Product Developer will need to work with buyers, designers, and international business partners to strategize and execute memorabilia product development within the agreed time-frame. This includes understanding or coordinating task related to product development, quality standard or delivery requirement in accordance with regulations, Company’s brand standards and best practices. The role will also require the candidate to work with vendors and suppliers to recommend any changes to the current product development that will meet the required product safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on the trend of trendy memorabilia products, analyze consumer needs and preferences, and accurately position the development direction of the trendy product category.
• Responsible for developing and introducing new memorabilia products, from creative ideas, and supplier selection to product shelves, to ensure product uniqueness and market competitiveness.
• Work with designers and suppliers to create initial concept to production stage leading to on time delivery. Handles product development including working with external vendors and factories on sample reviews.
• Understands and applies manufacturing and costing parameters to products.
• Ensures product design excellence by making character and product corrections during sampling, prototyping and address key issues and challenges in production/assembly and plans accordingly to deliver high-quality products.
• Assist in identifying new market trends and innovations and contribute ideas to management and cross-functional teams.
• Develop marketing and promotional strategies for the product category and work closely with the marketing team to increase brand awareness and influence in the market.
• Monitor the sales data and inventory status of the products, and adjust the product mix and replenishment plan promptly to ensure stable sales growth and reasonable inventory turnover.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, purchasing, shop operation, etc., to ensure the seamless and efficient implementation of Tide products from design concept to end sales.
• Undertake other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• At least One (1) year of experience in related field
• Memorabilia Product development and sourcing experience in hardline preferred.
• Familiar with the whole chain operation of product design, production, and sales
• A team player, exhibits ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness, able to understand how product components and materials work together both functionally and aesthetically.
• Familiar with product manufacturing knowledge and understands regulations across Asia countries.
• Knowledge of product development process from conceptualization to product delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with an intuitive approach to varied personalities and attention to details.
• Well organized, Good time management skills in managing multiple projects.
• Capable of problem solving skills, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products - especially with Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Able to travel internationally as required.
