- Improve processes. By applying first-principles thinking, you’ll tighten internal controls (credit notes, revenue recognition) and automate routine tasks.
What you’ll do
Financial Operations
- Handle full-set accounts and complete month-end close.
- Manage accounts receivable (student fees, SkillsFuture grants, corporate billings) and accounts payable.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly management accounts, cash-flow forecasts, and variance analyses for the Finance Manager.
- Reconcile revenue between our LMS/CRM and accounting system to ensure accuracy.
Compliance & Tax
- File quarterly GST returns and support ECI and annual corporate tax submissions.
- Liaise with external auditors; compile audit schedules and resolve queries promptly.
Process Improvement
- Maintain and refine finance SOPs, including a quarterly checklist that prevents slip-ups (e.g., timely credit notes for course withdrawals).
- Identify automation opportunities (Xero/QuickBooks integrations, spreadsheet macros) that save time and reduce error.
Stakeholder Support
- Respond to departmental budget queries and provide finance insights for new course launches.
- Assist HR on payroll inputs and CPF reconciliation as needed.
What we’re looking for
- Accounting diploma/degree or ACCA; at least 3–6 years full-set accounting experience in an SME or fast-growth environment.
- Solid grasp of Singapore FRS, GST rules, and IRAS regulations.
- Proficiency with cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Meticulous, analytical, and proactive in driving continuous improvement.
- Genuine interest in education and a passion for helping professionals upskill.
