We are seeking to recruit a Accountant (Executive/Senior) support our finance operations in the field of cell and gene drug development. This is an excellent mid-level opportunity for candidates looking to gain industry experience and develop strong accounting skills within a fast-growing biotech environment.
Job responsibilities:
1. Full Set of Accounts : Manage and maintain accurate and complete accounting records across all functions.
2. Core Accounting Duties : Handle inventory accounting, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, forex transactions, intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
3. Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
4. Tax & Audit Support : Assist with tax filings and provide support during audits.
5. Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
6. Process Improvement : Work with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
7. Compliance : Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
8. Ad Hoc Projects: Support additional tasks and projects as needed by the business or finance team.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
2. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is preferred.
3. Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role.
4. Solid understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
5. Hands-on experience with accounting system and strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
6. Skilled in managing general ledger functions, inventory reconciliations, and foreign exchange accounting in a multi-currency environment.
7. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, well-organised with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
