Senior Finance Manager (Ops & Tax)

We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager who are hands on in Operation and Taxation matters in the energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Taking care for monthly close activities such as reviewing and preparing financial reports.
• Ensure financials comply with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
• Provide guidance to team or colleagues relating to financial matters.
• Oversee asset capitalization process for the assets under construction-in-progress and perform periodic review for impairment
• Work with Finance FP&A team
• Ensure annual returns to relevant authorities are filed on time
• Present to stakeholder periodic financial reports
• Set, implement and update financial accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage system / process improvement projects to improve finance operational efficiency and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance of company policies for transactions processed by the accounting team.
• Identify and review operational gaps and proposed resolutions from front end to back end operations reference to financial and management accounting and internal control considerations
• Constantly evaluate process improvements to enhance efficiency for Finance Operations.
• Responsible for corporate tax issues, corporate tax / deferred tax computations, corporate tax returns / filings, property tax and GST returns / filings.
• Review of potential deals for tax implications including, but not limited to, corporate income tax, GST, property tax and transfer pricing.
• Main point of contact for external auditors with regards to audit field works, meetings and reporting
• Ensure the annual external audit and statutory financial statements are completed timely with clean audit opinion.
• Develop business processes and system specifications for financial application within the ERP system and drive the implementation process
• Liaise with IT team on maintenance of overall design configuration and system integrity of financial application.
• Provide training to system end user when needed
• Oversee career and professional development for the team

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified CPA
• Min 10 years in audit and accounting with the Big 4 accounting firms or MNCs, with at least 3 years in managerial role.
• Prior experience in financial system implementation of high end system, e.g SAP or Oracle.
• Advance experience in MS Office applications especially MS Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory
• Analytical, quick thinking, resourceful and independent
• Strong data-mining skills and sharp eye for details
• High level of integrity
• Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
• Work in oil and gas or heavy infrastructures industry an added advantage.
