The Communications and Marketing Executive plays a pivotal role in raising brand awareness, showcasing the impactful work of Habitat for Humanity Singapore, and highlighting meaningful experiences of volunteering with our charity. This individual should be a creative and passionate communications professional with a flair for storytelling and a strong eye for visual content.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating engaging digital content, with a particular emphasis on photo and video production. You'll have the unique opportunity to connect with our beneficiaries, partners and volunteers, capture their stories, and bring them to life in a way that resonates deeply with our audience, all while upholding our brand guidelines and narrative principles.

Responsibilities
- Content creation and storytelling:
- Assist in developing and executing a consistent stream of engaging, quality content for all social media platforms, with a primary focus on visual (photos, videos, graphics) content including but not limited to short-form clips, interviews, testimonials, event highlights, and campaign videos. (e.g. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube).
- Proactively identify and develop compelling stories from our beneficiaries, volunteers, and staff that complements visual assets and reinforces brand messaging.
- Assist in managing a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant posting across all channels.
- Conduct sensitive and empathetic interviews with beneficiaries, ensuring their stories are told respectfully and authentically, adhering to all privacy, consent and Habitat Singapore’s safeguarding guidelines.
- Translate complex experiences into relatable and impactful narratives that inspire action and support.
- Actively showcase diverse activities and positive experience of our volunteers.
- Develop campaigns that encourage volunteer recruitment and retention.
- Brand Guardianship:
- Ensure all communications and marketing materials adhere strictly to brand guidelines, tone, and narrative.
- Maintain a consistent and professional brand image across all platforms and touchpoints.
- Meticulously protect our brand's integrity and strategic interests across all touchpoints. This includes ensuring consistent and appropriate brand representation with our beneficiaries, in collaborations with corporate partners, and throughout all internal and external communications from the charity itself.
- General Marketing Support:
- Assist with other marketing and communications initiatives as required, including documents and presentations, email marketing, website updates, and public relations efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Assist in developing content for fundraising projects and campaigns.
- Provide support for collaborative projects with stakeholders and partners.
- A diploma or tertiary graduate holding qualifications in Mass Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Multimedia Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum experience of two years in communications, marketing, or a social media role, with a portfolio showcasing video content production.
- Demonstrates expertise in creating engaging short-form video content for social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube).
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final. Cut Pro, CapCut) and graphic design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Canva).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and good copywriting abilities.
- Ability to conduct sensitive interviews and extract compelling stories from individuals, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.
- Good command of English and able to speak a second language (Mandarin, Malay, Tamil) and/or local dialects to communicate with.
- Good understanding of social media trends, best practices, and analytics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
