We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts and Admin Executive to manage daily accounting tasks and provide administrative support across the church. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, solid accounting knowledge, and strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. This includes documenting all financial transactions and ensuring compliance with church policies and procedure
  • Handle day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and collection of gifts and offerings. This involves tracking payment due dates, ensure timely disbursements and depositing of weekly collection.
  • Regularly reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. This requires strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Monthly tracking of cash flow and comparing income and expenses accounts against annual budget.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports for the Session. This may involve analyzing financial data and presenting findings.
  • Work with the church treasurer to prepare the annual budget.
  • Work closely with the auditors and the church treasurer to resolve any financial discrepancies and support overall financial health.
  • Gives support to treasurer to present the financial reports during the annual congregation meeting.

2. Administrative Duties:

  • Providing support to Pastor, Session and Preachers, including making travel and meeting arrangements.
  • Assisting in daily church needs and operations.
  • Managing general administrative activities.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems.
  • Having excellent oral and written communication skills (preferably in both English and Chinese)
  • Organizing the work using tools, like Microsoft Office and office equipment


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education : A diploma in Accounting or a related field is typically preferred.
  • Experience : Previous experience in accounting/finance roles and working in a church organization would be advantageous.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential for managing financial data effectively.
  • Attention to Detail : Strong organizational skills and meticulous, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are crucial for maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Communication Skills : Good verbal and written communication skills (preferably in English and Chinese) are necessary for liaising with various stakeholders.
