Our client is launching an exciting new café concept in Singapore and are looking for a seasoned Café Manager with at least 5 years of experience in F&B management. You will be responsible for building and leading the café team, setting up operations from the ground up, and ensuring a successful opening and smooth ongoing operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about hospitality, coffee culture and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the founders/owners on café layout, equipment sourcing and workflow design
  • Recruit, hire and train a team of 10 staff including baristas, service crew and kitchen assistants
  • Develop SOPs, service standards, inventory processes and training materials
  • Work with vendors to set up POS systems, ingredient supply chains and service contracts
  • Ensure all licenses, permits and NEA requirements are in place before launch
  • Lead and supervise daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service and product quality
  • Monitor sales performance, control costs and ensure profitability
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance reviews and ongoing training
  • Handle customer feedback, resolve complaints and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, stock rotation and supplier coordination
  • Ensure compliance with NEA and SFA food hygiene regulations at all times
  • Maintain the café’s ambiance, cleanliness and brand identity

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of F&B management experience, preferably in café or casual dining environments
  • Proven track record in leading teams, launching outlets and driving operational success
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of café workflows, coffee service and food safety standards
  • Proficient in POS systems, inventory management and basic financial reporting
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays

Requirements:

  • WSQ Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (mandatory)
  • Barista training or background in specialty coffee (advantageous)
  • Experience opening a new F&B outlet is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with NEA, MOM, and SFA regulations
