Cashier (cum seat ambassador)

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Cashier (cum seat ambassador) to be the welcoming face of our food and beverage establishment. This hybrid role is responsible for processing guest transactions, managing seating and guest flow, and ensuring a smooth and positive front-of-house experience. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in customer-facing roles within a fast-paced restaurant or café environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all guests warmly upon arrival
• Manage guest check-ins, waiting lists and seating arrangements efficiently
• Operate the POS system accurately for orders and payments
• Answer guest questions about the menu and make recommendations
• Ensure cleanliness and organization at the entrance, host stand, and cashier area
• Communicate wait times clearly and coordinate with servers and floor staff
• Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and a customer-first attitude
• Maintain awareness of restaurant flow to optimize table turnover and guest experience

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in customer service, cashiering or host/hostess roles in food & beverage settings
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle cash, credit card transactions and POS systems with accuracy
• Strong multitasking and time-management skills
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable or Resy) is a plus
