Data Engineer

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure and pipelines to support analytics, machine learning, and operational needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, including data scientists, technical teams, and business users, to deliver end-to-end data solutions in dynamic, data-rich environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to understand and address data infrastructure requirements and technical challenges.
• Work closely with data scientists to gather data needs and support modeling and analytics initiatives.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models, data warehouses/marts, ETL/ELT processes, and pipelines to manage large volumes of structured and unstructured data from diverse sources and latencies (batch, real-time, near-real-time).
• Define and monitor SLAs for data pipelines and ensure consistent delivery of high quality data products.
• Implement data security, privacy, and governance controls to meet internal and regulatory standards.
• Drive data quality initiatives, including validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
Support pre-sales activities, including proposal development, technical presentations, and demos; provide post-sales support to ensure successful implementation and adoption of data solutions

Technical Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in relational, non-relational, and NoSQL databases, as well as enterprise data warehouse technologies.
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase.
• Familiarity with data ingestion tools like Kafka, Flume, NiFi.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in one or more languages: Python, Java, C/C++, R, Scala, MATLAB, SQL, for Windows or Linux environments.
• Experience in master data management, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Practical knowledge in software development best practices including testing, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and security best practices.
Familiarity with machine learning, computer vision, and large language models is a plus
