We are seeking a mid-level Legal Counsel / Legal Manager to support high-impact capital markets and financing transactions. Key Responsibilities
- Advise on banking and finance transactions , including loan and security documentation, across APAC markets.
- Support capital markets and M&A activities , working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to execute complex transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, EPC contracts, and development services agreements.
- Participate in legal and commercial due diligence and support acquisition structuring.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Legal, Risk, Tax, Finance) to ensure legal alignment and smooth execution.
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance , regulatory compliance, and operational matters.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and ensure cost-effective, quality legal support.
Candidate Profile
- LL.B or LL.M from a reputable university; admitted to practise in a common law jurisdiction
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience , ideally in banking, finance or capital markets, from a leading law firm or in-house legal team
- Proven ability to manage cross-border transactions across the APAC region
- Strong commercial acumen and contract drafting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a solution-oriented mindset
- Able to manage multiple workstreams and priorities independently
