We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager with a strong background in electrical engineering and construction project sales , specifically in managing bids and tenders . The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying project opportunities, leading the tendering process, and securing contracts for electrical systems engineering within construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full bid and tender process for electrical engineering projects, from opportunity identification to contract award.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications to prepare competitive proposals in collaboration with the team.
- Conduct pre-bid meetings, site visits , and technical presentations as required.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies aimed at driving growth in the related business segment of electrical and mechanical solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships and projects within the electrical and mechanical domain, particularly focusing on infrastructure projects and other potential developments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, such as LTA/PUB, contractors, system integrators, and other industry partners to facilitate project acquisition and collaboration.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, ensuring that strategies are data-driven and market-informed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to provide tailored solutions that meet client requirements
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the unique benefits of our solutions in the context of their specific needs.
- Monitor and report on key sales performance metrics, providing regular insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales or business development, experience in the electrical & mechanical engineering industry
- Knowledge of local tender processes (e.g., public sector bidding).
- Proven track record in meeting sales targets
- Basic understanding on local code of practice and safety standards, especially for industrial Projects
- Experience to deal with Chinese-based construction companies is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients and stakeholders).
