Senior Software Technical Consultant (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute end-to-end DCS and Batch Automation projects, including system design, development, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and qualification.

• Develop Batch Models, including Physical and Procedural layers, EMs, and Phases using ISA S88.01 standards.

• Design and implement automation architecture using tools such as Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Studio 5000, FT View SE, and FactoryTalk Batch.

• Manage project schedules, resource planning, and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and standards.

• Work closely with clients during URS/FDS/DDS development, technical reviews, and commissioning phases, ensuring smooth handovers and support.

• Oversee virtualization, system upgrades, and cybersecurity implementation across complex multi-vendor environments.

• Collaborate with global teams across EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions, including client-facing engagements and proposal support.

• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and interface with multiple stakeholders during pre-sales, project execution, and post-deployment phases.
  

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS (including virtualization, upgrades, and Batch configuration).

• In-depth knowledge of Rockwell Automation’s PlantPAx platform, SCADA/HMI (FactoryTalk View), and PLC programming (Studio 5000).

• Proficiency in SFC, FBD, Ladder, and Structured Text programming languages.

• Proven expertise in ISA S88 Batch Process Standards – Equipment Phases, Recipe Development, Equipment/Control Modules.

• Knowledge of system qualification methodologies (FAT/SAT/CQTP/KNEAT).

• Familiar with networking concepts, cybersecurity practices, and backup/recovery solutions in automation environments.

• Experience in multi-site projects, with demonstrated leadership in coordinating with global stakeholders.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  

Certifications (Preferred):

• PRC-110 FactoryTalk Batch Implementation (Rockwell)

• DeltaV Virtualization & Field Services

• GAMP5 Certified

• Logix on Demand (Level 1 & 2)

• PRC-100: Industrial Process Control Techniques

• Cybersecurity Associate Certifications
  

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Automation Engineering or related field.
  

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience in Bio Pharma, Chemical, or Oil & Gas sectors.

• Exposure to cloud-based SCADA systems and digital transformation in automation.

• Experience with remote commissioning and support for international clients.
