Java Lead

KEY FEATURES OF THE POSITION

Understand existing implementation of Asia output management application and lead the
implementation of the same for head office, along with new requirements.

Stake holder management - working closely with program stakeholders, business change engineers and project managers to drive and manage IT delivery.

Analyse requirements, estimate efforts, plan timeline, manage progress

Ensure awareness, involvement and support from the key stakeholders and participants in the project maintaining robust communication on the status throughout its life cycle

Drive and review technical and architectural design, enforce architectural guidelines and challenge status quo

Take responsibility for ensuring that risks and issues are identified and managed closely and delivered on time and to the required quality standards

Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
Professional and Technical

Minimum 12 years of development experience in Front-end applications, programming languages and back-end queries.

Well organized and ability to prioritise and carry out multiple tasks. Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges.

Able to translate functional requirements to efficient and fit-for-purpose technical solutions

Preferably, have experience in finance/ banking / Wealth management domain
Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audience

Understand business / system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable, and fit for purpose.

Ensure adherence to the bank standards (including code, security and performance)

Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and/or Extreme programming

Strong knowledge on Java, JBOSS and associated frameworks such as Spring boot, Hibernate.

Strong knowledge on Service oriented architecture, RESTful services

Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres etc.)

Knowledge of Quadient Inspire platform will be an advantage

Working knowledge of Kubernetes (PKS) and containerization, streaming using Kafka, Avro schema
Strong computer science knowledge (algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design)

Working knowledge of GITLAB repositories, Maven, Octopus, Cl / CD pipeline

Basic Linux shell scripting commands

Familiarity with Intellij, SonarQube/SonarLint
