Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.
Main Duties And Responsibilities

- Taking Over/Handing over with development groups for Rainforest Wild Africa (RFS)
- Plan and manage horticulture operations, analyze resources to achieve higher efficiency and productivity - provide direction and guidance to the team to achieve quality and timely completion of work tasks.
- Liaise with stakeholders for day to day needs and plan for ad hoc request within the limited time without affecting original maintenance schedule
- Establishing good rapport with external vendors in ensuring diverse & quality supply of diverse plants & landscape materials
- Control & enforce departmental policies aligned with organisation's vision, mission and values
- Collaborate with entire RFS team and ensure smooth running of park for guests.
- Backup for both manager and executive roles in ensuring business continuity
- Participate and present proposal/ job completion, initiatives, etc. in management meeting/ site meeting with various departments/ vendors/ consultants, authorities, etc. as and when required
- Initiate & prepare necessary purchase requisition, goods receipt, reservation, etc. including Capex & Opex through SAP system.
- Management of horticulture operations to meet the original landscape design intent.
- Monitor and coordinate with the Development Team for DLP management and record defects for timely clearance inspection leading the smooth hand over / take over
- Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
- Minimum recognised Degree in Botany, Horticulture, Forestry Science, Ecology, Environmental Science / Management, Landscape Architecture or its equivalent .
- At least 2-3 years local relevant experience.
- Professional Accreditation such as AIH Certified Practicising Horticulturist, ISA certified Arborist, SILA Landscape Architect will be an added advantage.
- Love nature and enjoy working in an outdoor environment.
- Understanding on ecology and biodiversity conservation.
- Prior experience in SESAMI and SAP will also be an advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Purpose-driven, creative, proactive, positive-thinking and possess leadership qualites to manage a team
