HR Generalist Specializing in Talent Acquisition
Location: Central
Job Scope:
HR Generalist Duties
- Responsible for general HR tasks
- Handle workforce planning and monitor headcount
- Manage compensation and benefits, including salary benchmarking to ensure competitiveness
- Oversee performance management processes
- Support staff welfare initiatives
Talent Acquisition (Approx. 70% Focus)
- Design and improve talent acquisition processes to meet both short- and long-term hiring needs
- Build a strong pipeline of potential candidates through various sources, including online platforms, networks, and social media
- Forecast hiring needs on a quarterly and yearly basis, department-wise
- Enter and maintain candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System
- Draft job descriptions and interview questions tailored to each role
- Maintain a pool of past applicants and potential hires
- Plan and adjust interview procedures, such as screening calls, tests, and face-to-face interviews
- Manage onboarding and exit processes
- Define hiring criteria and key information for recruitment
- Maintain strong relationships with external sources (e.g., agencies, institutions) to widen the candidate pool
- Strengthen employer branding to attract suitable candidates through external communications
- Extend job offers and stay informed on employment regulations
- Source candidates online (e.g., professional networks, social media)
- Attend job fairs and hiring events
- Execute and improve onboarding processes with proper follow-ups
Collaboration with Internal Hiring Managers
- Support hiring managers in selecting diverse and qualified candidates
- Coordinate staffing needs, clarify hiring procedures, timelines, and expectations for each role
- Train hiring managers on candidate screening and interview techniques
- Conduct reference checks and streamline the hiring process to bring in only suitable applicants
Other HR Functions
- Handle government-related matters such as pass applications Conduct employment-related surveys
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent (strongly preferred)
Experience
- Min 3 years in a similar HR and recruitment role
- Familiarity working with recruitment agencies
- Skilled in using platforms like social media and resume databases for sourcing
- Experienced in end-to-end recruitment and different evaluation methods
- Knowledgeable in Applicant Tracking Systems and industry hiring needs
- Retail industry experience is an advantage
- Awareness of recruitment trends in the market
