Job Description:

Our client is a fast-growing fintech company in Hong Kong and they are revolutionizing cross-border payment solutions. Through innovative technology and a customer-first approach, they empower businesses and individuals with faster, more secure, and cost-effective global payment options. Right now, they are seeking a high-performing Sales Director to lead business development and strategic sales initiatives for our Cross-Border Payment solutions across the APAC region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the fintech and payment ecosystems, with proven success in client acquisition, partnerships, and revenue generation in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the APAC sales strategy for cross-border payment solutions, aligned with global and regional business goals.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across financial institutions, fintechs, corporates, and SMEs.
  • Build, manage, and grow a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and partnerships.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and close high-value deals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions across APAC.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform business strategy.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and guide junior sales team members as the business scales


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales/business development experience in fintech, payments, or financial services, with a strong network in the APAC region.
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-border payment systems, remittance, FX solutions, and B2B financial technology.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize initiatives, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Willingness to travel across APAC as needed (up to 50%)
