Responsibility:

Ø Responsible for designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication. This includes selecting the appropriate machinery, tools, and materials to achieve desired product specifications efficiently.

Ø Ensure the part unfolding uses the best fabrication method and includes all relevant information in the bending layout including Accessory details with orientation which made before powder coating or painting process.

Ø Troubleshoot problems and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain production.

Ø Perform Nesting process for Sheet metal and Tubes using CAM software.

Ø Prepare Auto-bend program.

Ø Creation of Inventory codes, BOM & Router under ERP (Global Shop).

Ø Design tooling for special shapes or bend requirement per print.

Ø Develop Jig and Fixture for fabrication of structure or complicate sheet metal parts.

Ø Create e-WIs for critical process and assembly level.

Ø Follow-up on production process activities during NPI stage.

Ø Liase with in-house engineers and Technicians.

Ø Able to do some hands on as required by Management.

Knowledge & Qualification :

Ø A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field is typically required.

Ø Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in relevant field.

Ø Knowledge of the properties of various types of sheet metal, including their strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance, is essential for designing and manufacturing sheet metal components effectively.

Ø Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, is crucial for creating detailed drawings and models of sheet metal parts. Additionally, knowledge of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.

Ø Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, forming, welding, and finishing is necessary. Understanding the advantages, limitations, and best practices of each process is essential for efficient production.

Ø Knowledge of different types of sheet metal materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and their suitability for specific applications is important.

Ø Understanding the operation and maintenance of sheet metal fabrication equipment and tooling, such as press brakes, laser cutters, punch presses, and welding machines, is crucial for efficient production.

Ø Familiarity with quality control techniques and standards is necessary to ensure that sheet metal parts meet specified tolerances and quality requirements.

Ø Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices is essential to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment in sheet metal fabrication facilities.

Ø Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the design or manufacturing process and implement effective solutions is important.

Ø A willingness to stay updated on industry trends and advancements through continuous learning is essential for long-term success in this role.
