Junior Lighting Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Lighting Designer to join our architectural team. You will assist in developing creative, functional lighting designs for commercial offices, retail, showrooms, residential or hospitality spaces. Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the development of architectural lighting design concepts under the guidance of senior team members.

2. Create technical lighting drawings, schedules, photometric calculations, and visualizations using software such as AutoCAD, Dialux and Photoshop.

2. Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and lighting studies for internal reviews and client meetings.

3. Study on lighting products, materials, and controls systems that meet performance, sustainability, and aesthetic criteria.

4. Participate in potential site visits and mock-ups to support project implementation and quality control.

5. Maintain organized project documentation, including specifications, cut sheets, and meeting notes.

6. Stay informed about new technologies, industry trends, and relevant codes and standards for lighting power budget control (e.g., GREENMARK, LEED, SS531/SS530).

Requirements :

1. Bachelor degree or Higher Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design or related field.

2. Basic understanding of photometrics, colour temperature, lighting control systems and sustainable lighting practices.

3. Strong design sensibility, visual communication skills and attention to details.

4. Ability to multi tasks and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
