Job Description

Designs jigs and fixtures as the case may be
Design for fabrication/ Assembly/ Maintenance
Research and Development of current or New Products
Generates manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards Interfaces with customers for technical discussion
Research and analyse customer design proposals, specifications and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
Understand the design requirements and create the conceptual design/mechanism for the heavy trucks.
Generate detailed engineering drawings of the design and prepare the Bill of materials.
Responsible for the preparation of the manufacturing drawings of the detailed design.
Conduct Finite Element analysis and kinematics & Dynamics analysis to improve the design performance.
Engage with the manufacturing team during design stage and manufacturing stage to ensure the smooth transition from design to manufacturing.

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidate must possess Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and related courses.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Mechanical design or Machine design is required for this position.
In depth knowledge in CAD/CAE applications such as SOLIDWORKS, CREO, Inventor and Unigraphics etc.
Ability to work in the fast paced environment and work independently.
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and fundamentals including design principles, machine elements, and fabrication methods.
