Business Development Manager (Robotics / Middleware)

About Our Client:

Our client is the regional subsidiary of one of Japan's leading construction companies. In addition to delivering major infrastructure and building projects across Singapore, the company is actively expanding into smart technology domains, developing robotics and middleware solutions tailored for logistics and manufacturing environments, with a focus on automation, system integration, and productivity enhancement across industrial operations.

They are seeking a strategic Business Development Manager to lead regional growth initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation and spearhead the development of emerging opportunities in advanced technology fields including robotics, middleware, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic planning and business development initiatives to support the company’s growth in Singapore, Thailand, and the broader Southeast Asia region
• Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities, particularly in robotics and middleware for logistics and manufacturing
• Manage cross-functional collaboration with technical, engineering, and project teams to align business development efforts with operational capabilities
• Evaluate and negotiate with potential partners, vendors, and clients to support strategic objectives
• Oversee budgeting, reporting, and performance monitoring of business development activities
Perform ad-hoc tasks aligned with business needs and growth strategies

Requirements:

• Proven track record in business development, including overseas expansion and regional strategy implementation
• 5+ years of experience in robotics, middleware, smart automation, or related technology fields
• Experience in factory or logistics warehouse automation, with a strong understanding of system integration and productivity improvement, is advantageous
• Ability to conduct market research and develop actionable business strategies in both established and emerging markets
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-cultural, cross-functional environment

Others:

• Salary Range: SGD 8,000-15,000 (Depending on the experience)
• Bonuses: Depending on the company and individual performance, average of 2 months
• Working Hours: Office hours (Mon-Fri)
