ABOUT HOPE INITIATIVE ALLIANCE


Hope Initiative Alliance (HIA) is a registered charity in Singapore with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. HIA collaborates with over 100 social service organisations, civil society organisations, corporations, and government agencies to provide holistic care to vulnerable communities, including children and youths from lower-income families, families living in rental housing, homeless individuals, migrant workers, and migrant domestic workers.


Alliance of Guest Workers Outreach (AGWO) is a movement of the Hope Initiative Alliance that offers holistic care for the migrant workers in Singapore through outreach and engagement activities. These provide social, psychological, and spiritual support for the guest workers.

Working Hours:

Approximately 16 hours (2 working days) per week. Reporting to office on Fridays 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday

(Some other evenings and weekends may be required during meetings and events, which will be remunerated accordingly)


Summary of Job Scope

The Part-Time Coordinator will assist in the day-to-day coordination and implementation of AGWO’s care and development programmes for migrant workers. This includes supporting the Learning Academy, festive and religious engagements, interfaith events, and other community-building activities. The coordinator plays an important support role in logistics, documentation, and beneficiary engagement, contributing to the smooth delivery and monitoring of AGWO’s holistic support for migrant workers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Programme Support and Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing AGWO’s weekly classes, cultural and religious events, interfaith engagements, and wellness activities
  • Coordinate logistics such as venues, materials, refreshments, and transportation
  • Provide on-site support during programmes to ensure smooth implementation and a positive participant experience
  • Support documentation of activities from preparation to completion

2. Stakeholder and Volunteer Engagement

  • Liaise with instructors, dormitory managers, faith leaders, and volunteers for smooth coordination
  • Assist in volunteer mobilisation, orientation, and appreciation
  • Support communication with internal departments (Operations, Marketing, Finance) as required

3. Beneficiary Management and Reporting

  • Assist in maintaining a detailed and up-to-date database of beneficiaries, including attendance, participation history, and basic needs tracking
  • Support the collection and organisation of data to evaluate programme outcomes using surveys, feedback forms, pre-/post-tests, and interviews
  • Help prepare documentation required for regular and annual performance reports, including those for funders such as MOM
  • Support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set particularly for the Learning Academy and Cultural/Interfaith Engagements
  • Ensure accurate and timely tracking of KPIs such as:
  • Number of migrant worker participants enrolled and graduated from courses
  • Attendance and engagement in interfaith and cultural activities
  • Measured improvements in knowledge, skills, and social inclusion
  • Collate supporting documentation (e.g. assessments, surveys, photos, feedback) to demonstrate outcomes
  • Assist the Executive in preparing and submitting the Annual Performance Report required by funders such as MOM
  • Where targets are not met, support internal evaluation efforts and contribute to explanations or rectification plans as required

4. Compliance and Inclusion

  • Uphold HIA’s and AGWO’s commitment to inclusive, fair, and respectful programme access
  • Assist in ensuring that all activities adhere to relevant grant guidelines, including non-discriminatory, non-political, and non-proselytising standards
  • Flag any concerns in implementation or engagement to supervisors in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Polytechnic Diploma or relevant experience in social service, events, or community engagement
  • Passion for serving migrant communities and working in multicultural environments
  • Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented in managing logistics and records
  • Comfortable using MS Office, Google Forms, and WhatsApp for coordination and documentation
  • Able to work on Sundays and some evenings when needed
  • Photography or Canva design skills are a plus
