Fine Today is a Japanese Personal Care company that owns multiple hair and skin care brands and is distributed globally. The brands available in Singapore includes Senka, Tsubaki, Fino and Ma Cherie.
Job Description
- Sales Support - Assist the sales team with administrative tasks such as preparing sales reports, updating product catalogue, managing schedules, and handling documentation.
- Customer (Retailer) Interaction - Support in communicating with existing retailers. This could include answering inquiries, helping with product image request, and following up on sales activities.
- Product & Merchandising Knowledge - Learn about the company’s products to effectively communicate their benefits to potential customers, and how to differentiate the different display type in retailers’ stores
- Sales Process Involvement - Attend and participate in various stages of the sales process, including meetings to observe and learn. Help organize and attend sales events as needed, assisting with setup and interacting with customers.
- Reporting and Analysis - Track sales data, analyse performance metrics, and assist in preparing reports for the sales team and management.
Learning Outcome
- Learn how to gather, analyse, and interpret sales data to assess performance, understand the importance of building strategies to achieve sales target and gain insights on how to manage retailers and their expectations
- Improve verbal and written communication skills, especially in interacting with retailers or internal teams.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products or services and the industry it operates in, and learn how to position these products effectively in the market, understanding their value propositions and unique selling points.
- Develop collaboration skills by working closely with the sales team, marketing department, and other internal stakeholders to understand how different departments work together to support the sales process.
- Learn how to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Build confidence in handling retailer interactions, making presentations, and participating in sales meetings. Learning the importance of professionalism in maintaining customer relationships and representing the company.
- Gain a better understanding of one’s own strengths, weaknesses, and preferences within the sales field.
- Reflect on personal growth throughout the internship, identifying areas for improvement and career aspirations.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in marketing, business or similar may be required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint
- Strong self-motivation
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments
