Senior Accounts Executive – Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our growing finance team. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in managing full-spectrum accounting functions with accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. FINANCIAL TRANSACTION MANAGEMENT
- Oversee end-to-end accounting processes, including accurate and timely recording of Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable , and expense tracking across multiple currencies.
- Process staff claims and employee expense reimbursements with precision and timeliness.
2. RECONCILIATION & LEDGER MAINTENANCE
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Ledger , including Right-of-Use Assets and related depreciation schedules.
- Manage the Inventory Ledger accurately and ensure alignment with physical inventory.
3. COMPLIANCE & INTERNAL CONTROLS
- Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including timely GST/VAT filings and liaison with tax authorities when necessary.
- Uphold internal financial controls and company policies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
4. FINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS
- Prepare accurate journal entries , accounting schedules, financial statements, and management reports.
- Produce ad-hoc financial analyses and reports to meet business needs.
- Conduct costing analyses to support budgeting and strategic decision-making.
5. AUDIT SUPPORT & DOCUMENTATION
- Compile detailed audit documentation and schedules to support both internal and external audits .
6. TREASURY & CASH FLOW MANAGEMENT
- Monitor daily cash positions , manage short-term liquidity, and oversee treasury transactions such as bank transfers and FX deals.
- Prepare and update cash flow forecasts (short-term and long-term).
- Coordinate with banks on account operations, funding needs, and treasury instruments.
7. PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Work closely with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and drive process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different locations, including China , to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements to enhance financial accuracy and team productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in full-spectrum accounting roles; experience in manufacturing or recycling sectors is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with inventory, costing processes , and ERP systems .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Strong understanding of GST/VAT tax compliance .
- Familiarity with Deskara accounting software is an added advantage.
