Main Responsibilities
Singapore Tax Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all tax obligations including corporate income tax, GST, withholding taxes, BEPS Pillar 2, CBCR, etc.
- Participate in tax provisions and tax reporting to shareholders and internal stakeholders
- Respond to tax audits, disputes or inquiries from tax authorities
- Lead and manage Singapore ACAP review, health checks and provide GST advisory support to the Group
Global Tax Compliance
- Set up and maintain Global Compliance Tracker (all taxes including Pillar 2, CbCR, e-invoicing, TP)
- Update Tax Depository to maintain key documentation (copies of all CIT returns and TP local files)
- Review all Tax Memos and risk assessments
- Review all TP reports and assess risks, improvements, risk mitigation
- Assess tax-related risks, assist in developing and implementing controls and procedures to mitigate risks and safeguard the company's tax positions
- Support in tax compliance processes for holding companies.
Tax Optimization
- Participate in the Group's tax planning efforts, working closely with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies, minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with local and international laws
Process Improvement and Transformation initiatives
- Support improvement projects/transformation initiatives to optimize tax compliance processes
- Implement best practices and leveraging technology solutions to enhance efficiency, data analytics capabilities and improve decision making across the organization
- Set up Tax Audit Management process (review all past year's audits and identify common issues, build defense files by country)
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification required.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, with at least 2–4 years in a regional role.
- Experience in tax controversy management , including preparing position papers and managing audits or disputes.
- Familiarity with tax governance frameworks , internal controls over financial reporting (e.g., KCFRs), and tax risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and translate them into practical business solutions.
- Proficiency in tax compliance and reporting tools; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and tax technology platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency and experience in executing process improvement and transformation initiatives in a tax function.
