From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).

GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation of production schedule for their assigned areas

  • Responsible for the scheduling of work to the team members in the assigned areas

  • Ensure work are processed timely from station to station during shift

  • Work with Scheduler to establish priorities where schedule conflict occurs

  • Responsible for optimum utilization of existing production control system to ensure accurate and current status of work in progress

  • Responsible for the movement of parts to & from Traffic including but not limited to farm out vendors

  • Responsible to coordinate with Engineers and Facilitators on disposition of parts

  • Maintain credible records to reflect perpetual WIP inventory status of all customer’s hardware in the shop & respective production boards are updated in timely manner

  • Responsible for expediting rework parts and clear non-conformances

  • Assist Engineers to coordinate the flow of work in the industrialization of new repairs

  • Highlight gaps or issues in daily production matters

  • Generate documentation required for induction of manufacturing parts into the shop (Stage 8 New Make)

  • Major Contacts: Includes external & internal contacts, excludes reporting relationships.

  • Purpose of contact and frequency:

  • Facilitator: Work schedule-Daily

  • Engineer: Disposition of parts -Daily

  • Met. Lab: Lab result of significant process-As required

  • Scheduler: Job Priorities

  • Other Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all EHS rules & regulations per EHS OP HE20-00.

  • Personally demonstrate commitment to EHS and Heath Ahead Programs and initiatives

  • Participate in accident, injury, and illness prevention activities where applicable

  • Participate or lead in LEAN activities

  • Undertakes & comply with employee innovation & proprietary information agreement, GE Code of Conduct, GE Integrity (Spirit & Letter), position of trust and intellectual property stipulations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate for this role should be able to read and comprehend manufacturing operation sheets and standard operating procedures in English, ensuring accurate execution of tasks in a production environment and has prior experience working in Manufacturing industry

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent

  • Able to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English
