Job Summary:

The F&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily café operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and leading the front-of-house team. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and supporting overall business efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations, including service quality and cleanliness.
  • Lead, motivate, and train service crew to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Monitor staff schedules, attendance, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
  • Assist in stock control and ordering of supplies.
  • Monitor and reduce wastage; ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Support café promotions and upselling strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role in the F&B or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of customer service principles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., WSQ Food Hygiene certification is a plus).
  • Flexible to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality, F&B Management, or related field.
  • Basic barista or café service knowledge is an advantage.
