Safety Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Construction Safety Officer to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and promote a safe working environment at our construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction safety and preferably possess an Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Certificate .

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and enforce compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training sessions for site workers and subcontractors.
• Maintain and update safety records, permits, and relevant documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies (e.g., MOM, NEA) and ensure all statutory safety requirements are met.
• Promote a culture of safety through active communication and participation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans.
• Coordinate environmental control measures and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Support the ECO in monitoring air, noise, and water pollution, and implement necessary mitigation plans.
