WSHO (5WD/ Construction)

Job Scope / Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act and all relevant statutory regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Implement and monitor risk management systems and safe work procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; submit reports with corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate safety training, toolbox meetings, and emergency response drills.
• Liaise with relevant government bodies (e.g., MOM, SCDF, NEA) during audits and inspections.
• Lead the development of safety policies, manuals, and safety documentation.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Promote safety awareness and a strong safety culture across all levels of staff.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain records of inspections, incident reports, permits, and safety files.

Requirements:

• Registered WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) Singapore.
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar WSHO role.
• Prior experience in construction industry preferred. Additional certifications such as Safety Coordinator, Work-at-Height Assessor, Confined Space Safety Assessor, First Aid, Fire Safety, or ECO Certificate are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and codes of practice
• Good communication and leadership skills
