Join the Asset Management team of an international bank with a strong Asia-Pacific presence. Support fund launches, portfolio management, and investment operations in a dynamic banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in establishing the processes and workflows for launch of new funds (or any other asset management products) and in monitoring existing products.
- Analyze market trends for new investment opportunities and product development.
- Address operational, legal, compliance or risks issues and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Negotiate and review legal documents and agreements related to the asset management business.
- Participate in the development and ongoing monitoring of client's portfolio.
- Support the implementation and approval processes of new asset management products.
- Assist the Fund Manager in preparing of investment meetings, writing reports and supporting other fund management activities.
- Perform day-to-day business-as-usual (BAU) operations of the department as required.
- Execute ad-hoc projects for department leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CFA qualification will be an added advantage.
- Preferably registered as an Appointed Representative with MAS.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and accounting standards.
- 1-3 years of experience in an investment analysis, financial research or a related role within asset management, wealth management or private banking.
- Familiarity with equity and fixed income markets, Exchanged Traded Funds (ETFs), financial instruments, and investment strategies.
- Strong knowledge of securities, financial statement analysis and macroeconomic trends. Experience in financial modeling is an added advantage.
- Experience using financial databases and analytics platforms (e.g. Bloomberg, Excel); VBA skills are a plus.
