BIM / Design Manager (Precast Industry)

Role Summary:

The BIM/Design Manager leads the design and modeling team in delivering coordinated and production-ready BIM models for precast concrete projects. This role ensures alignment between design intent, manufacturing capabilities, and site requirements, while driving innovation and efficiency in BIM processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the BIM team in developing detailed models and shop drawings for precast elements across multiple projects.

• Establish and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and quality control procedures tailored to precast production.

• Collaborate with structural engineers, production managers, and site teams to ensure design feasibility and constructability.

• Oversee model coordination, clash detection, and integration with project schedules and production timelines.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to BIM modelers and junior designers.

• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve design issues and ensure smooth project delivery.

• Drive continuous improvement in BIM practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM and design management within the precast industry.
• Advanced proficiency in BIM software (Tekla Structures highly preferred; Revit, Allplan also valuable).
• Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Experience in precast detailing, production workflows, and integrated digital delivery.
