Job Summary:
The Service Crew Leader is responsible for leading the service team on the floor, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent customer service. This role includes supervising junior crew, maintaining cleanliness and service standards, and assisting in training and daily coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.
- Support the supervisor in managing daily floor operations.
- Guide and motivate service crew members during shifts.
- Ensure cleanliness, order, and readiness of the dining and service area.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and handle transactions accurately.
- Manage customer feedback or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup and cashiering.
- Ensure all crew comply with hygiene, safety, and service protocols.
- Train new crew members on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a café, restaurant, or F&B outlet.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices (training can be provided).
Preferred Qualifications:
- WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
- Experience with POS systems and basic cashiering duties.
- Ability to assist in simple food or beverage preparation is a bonus.
