Job Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Executive to manage the accounts for a restaurant and support accounting functions for a group of two companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting restaurant stock-taking processes, and handling day-to-day finance operations. This role will report to Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Restaurant Accounting Duties:
- Perform daily sales reconciliation from the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to bank receipts and accounting system.
- Monitor daily cash collection and ensure accurate cash float balances.
- Track and record third-party delivery platform transactions (e.g., Grab, Foodpanda).
- Reconcile merchant settlement statements against bank deposits and POS records.
- Maintain inventory accounting, including monthly stock-taking coordination and variance analysis.
- Liaise with restaurant operations team to verify stock usage, wastage, and cost of sales.
- Monitor kitchen and bar inventory movement and assist in identifying discrepancies.
- Ensure correct classification of F&B costs such as raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
- Support audit and compliance checks related to F&B cost control and operational procedures.
General Accounting Duties (Restaurant and Group Companies)
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing.
- Monitor and process staff claims, petty cash reimbursements, and supplier payments.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, and other accounting records.
- Assist Finance Manager with group-level consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, etc.).
- Familiar with POS systems and third-party F&B delivery platforms.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with operations teams.
- Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
