Position Overview

As Manager – Internal Control, you will work with an externally oriented, professional, and collaborative team in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

In your role, you will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls over financial reporting across our global operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, Operations, and IT to ensure corporate governance code compliance and the integrity of our financial reporting processes.

You will occasionally visit key locations throughout the world.

This position will report to the Senior Manager – Internal Control (Group Control).


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lead the comprehensive materiality assessment.
  • Scope critical entities and account captions relevant to the financial reporting process and document the scoping decisions in detail.
  • Develop and maintain the Internal Control over Financial Reporting framework (FCF) and internal policies.
  • Guide and train control testers and owners on internal control requirements, risk mitigation, and best practices.
  • Coordinate and independently test internal controls, including design, implementation, and operating effectiveness testing.
  • Monitor compliance metrics and prepare regular updates for Management.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the severity of identified control deficiencies.
  • Oversee remediation efforts for identified deficiencies and track progress through closure.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of business processes, risks, and systems within a manufacturing environment. Independently document and update process narratives, risk and control matrices (RCMs), and flowcharts.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and best practices in internal controls and financial reporting (incl. Dutch Corporate Governance Code).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, or CISA (or in progress) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 6–8 years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, external/internal audit, or related roles.
  • Prior experience in a multinational corporation or Big 4 public accounting firm working with manufacturing clients, ideally in the semiconductor industry.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of internal control concepts and SOX requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and results oriented, hands on, proactive, and able to prioritize to meet deadlines.
