Objectives:

To set up the finance function, driving operational excellence, strategic insights, and robust financial infrastructure to fuel sustainable growth in a dynamic tech environment.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with CEO on fundraising strategy, due diligence, investor reporting, and board deck preparation
  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and KPIs aligned with company OKRs
  • Develop financial models (3-statement, scenario planning) to guide product expansion, pricing, and GTM decisions

Financial Operations

  • Implement scalable accounting, FP&A, and compliance systems.
  • Own monthly/quarterly close, GAAP-compliant reporting (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet), and audit coordination.
  • Manage 13-week cash flow forecasts, optimize burn, and ensure liquidity for 18-24mo+ runway.
  • Oversee AP/AR, taxes, and audits.

Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure legal/fiscal compliance.
  • Mitigate financial risks (FX, credit, operational).
  • Develop internal controls and fraud prevention.
  • Manage tax strategy (R&D credits, VAT, transfer pricing) and regulatory compliance.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Advise department heads (Product, Sales, Engineering) on budget management, ROI analysis, project valuation, and cost optimization.
  • Support SalesOps on deal desk structuring, pricing, and pipeline analytics.
  • Partner with PeopleOps on compensation planning, benefits strategy, and headcount forecasting.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years finance experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role in high tech MNC environment
    • Expertise in financial modeling (3-statement, cap tables, scenario analysis).
    • GAAP compliance, audit management, and ERP implementation.
    • Advanced Excel/GSheets; familiarity with ERP/FP&A tools.
    • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker), SQL/Python (a plus).
  • Scrappy operator who balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution (e.g. building dashboards, closing books).
  • Experience managing finance teams (accounting, FP&A, or ops).
  • Ability to simplify complex finance concepts for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who creates structure in chaos.
  • Uses data to drive decisions in resource-constrained environments.
