Job Summary:
The Mixologist is responsible for designing, crafting, and serving creative beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They combine a deep understanding of spirits, flavors, and ingredients with a passion for hospitality to deliver a memorable guest experience. This role also involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, consistency, and efficiency behind the bar.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Beverage Creation & Execution
- Create original cocktail and mocktail recipes aligned with the venue’s identity and seasonal themes.
- Execute drink orders efficiently and consistently, ensuring top quality and presentation.
- Understand and work with a wide range of ingredients including house infusions, bitters, herbs, and garnishes.
2. Guest Engagement
- Interact warmly and professionally with guests, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Share knowledge of ingredients, flavor profiles, and stories behind signature drinks.
- Offer tastings and engage in tableside mixology or presentations when required.
3. Inventory & Bar Management
- Manage daily mise en place: prepare garnishes, syrups, juices, and other components before service.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the manager of low or out-of-stock items.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and storing inventory.
4. Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., NEA or local alcohol laws).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free bar area.
- Properly handle glassware, tools, and bar equipment.
5. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the floor team and kitchen to deliver a seamless service.
- Train junior bartenders or barbacks as needed.
- Participate in staff briefings and contribute ideas for drink improvements or promotions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- No Experience needed as training will be provided
- Experience in a high-volume or premium venue is a plus.
- Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic options.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Certification in food & beverage safety is a plus.
