DESCRIPTION

AWS is seeking an experienced Principal Strategic Account Manager to lead and continue to expand the business with one of our company’s largest and most innovative customers.

The Strategic Account Manager will be a key member of the team responsible for providing business leadership and creative direction for this highly visible customer. You will build and maintain broad relationships in the account, develop and manage opportunities, and lead a large team of extended resources. You will define the executive relationship strategy within the account; including building a strong working relationship with the AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorship, executive business reviews, and shaping go-to-market opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
  • Create new business opportunities, drive revenue and market share in Strategic Account.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customer key business and vertical leaders, executives, CXO for advancing both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan.
  • Drive innovation, and spearheading major initiative.
  • Build strategic relationships within the account and articulate a clear vision with lines of businesses
  • Identifying, developing, and closing large-scale projects
  • Work will all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solutions Architects, Service Teams, Business Development, Partners, Technical Support Services and Professional Services)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent
  • Experience with AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
