Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide individualized support and supervision to trainees with moderate autism in baking-related activities.

2. Collaborate with the vendor and baking professionals to implement a structured baking training curriculum tailored to trainees’ abilities and learning needs.

3. Work alongside trainees to produce baked goods, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

4. Support trainees in developing vocational skills such as following recipes, portioning, handling baking tools and equipment, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

5. Monitor and evaluate trainee progress; document observations and communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders.

6. Plan and execute daily training and work schedules, adapting activities as needed to support trainee learning and engagement.

7. Promote a safe, inclusive, and empowering training environment.

8. Uphold regulatory standards relating to food preparation, safety, and cleanliness

Qualifications and Skills:

9. A recognized diploma, preferably in education, psychology, social services, or a related field.

10. Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities, ideally in a vocational or educational setting.

11. Basic baking knowledge or hands-on experience in a baking or food preparation environment is highly desirable.

12. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instruction and positive reinforcement.

13. Ability to tailor coaching strategies to the individual learning needs of trainees.

14. Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting individuals with autism toward greater independence.

15. Certification in job coaching, baking instruction, or special needs education is advantageous.
