Project Director – Healthcare Cluster

The Opportunity:
The Project Director role will lead the team by assuming full responsibility for several key areas within the event, including: guiding and driving the sales team to achieve and exceed target; working with the Marketing and Conference Managers; developing content to ensure that content and features are aligned with sponsors benefits that drive better revenues, and managing relationships with key stakeholder groups. The role will also involve ensuring the operations teams are on schedule and delivering value.
About Clarion’s Healthcare Cluster:
Clarion’s Healthcare Cluster is comprised of two annual events and digital marketing. The annual events are Hospital Management Asia and HealthTechX Asia. The former is the premier event for hospital C-suite and owners in the region. It is well regarded in the sector and supported by hospital associations and Ministries of Health. The latter is a gathering of the entire healthcare ecosystem in APAC; stakeholders that can impact the pace of health technology innovation in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve/exceed sales targets
- Maximise all potential revenue
- Maximise sponsorship sales from existing clients
- Write, execute and manage the sales plan
- Write and action major account plans and competitive strategies
Motivate the sales team
- Motivate staff across all event related functions
- Promote a culture of time management
- Ensure teams have individual sector plans that focus on successful growth and delivery
Reporting and Forecasting
- Ensure P&L is continuously updated with accurate revenue forecasts
- Run weekly sales meeting
- Deliver monthly sales forecasting
- Report on sales activity and sales results
- Maintain an up to date pipeline document with accurate forecasting
Marketing
- Recommend content and marketing initiatives to ensure the event propositions are aligned with areas of potential incremental revenue, and promote these to potential and existing exhibitors globally
- Provide on-going recommendations to the delegate campaign aligned with required sponsors objectives’
Operations & Sales Admin
- Liaising with accounts to ensure invoicing and revenue collection is taking place in a timely fashion
- Ensuring critical event functions are informed of event timelines and key event initiatives to maximise their effectiveness across each event cycle
- Act as the interface between sales & marketing and sales & operations where problems arise to smooth them over
- Supervise key account management across marketing, sponsorship and customer service team
Stakeholder Management
- Work with external stakeholders to manage and increase all areas of their engagement with the events
- Develop features, conferences and other onsite content to support stakeholder attendance and participation at all levels
- Represent the event at local and international functions and groups
Knowledge / Personal Attributes / Skills:
- Experience of detailed sales planning
- Ability to translate delegate marketing strategies/plans into exhibitor sales benefits
- Sales management and coaching skills
- P&L budget management and forecasting skills
- Administration skills - Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Accurate analysis of competitors
- Accurate reporting and forecasting
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Professionalism, integrity, must be well presented and always open to learning as opposed to being set in one’s ways
- Computer literate – Salesforce, Workday, Pardot
