Reporting to the Board of Directors, Group President / CEO and Group Executive Vice-President, the Finance Manager will manage the full financial and management accounting functions of our group of companies.


The Roles

  • Lead a Finance Team by providing proper guidance, training and monitoring.
  • Oversee all financial accounting, reporting and financial operation, including developing accounting policies for the group, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management accounts, consolidation account and managing the annual audit process.
  • Perform financial information analysis and provide reporting and analysis to senior management by using data analytical tool.
  • Cashflow management and treasury planning to ensure optimization of working capital (involve review of AR, AP and inventory management status and action plan).
  • Assist in annual budget/reforecast development, enforce budget control through SAP/authority limit Update and perform monthly variance analysis.
  • Involve in SAP Implementation, enhancement and customization from time to time.
  • Ensure compliance to relevant regulatory requirement such as Accounting Standards, Income Tax Act, GST/VAT Act, Company Act, internal control (such as maintain/improve SOP and authority limit).
  • Tax management/optimization (via tax research and coordinating with tax advisor) and review GST/VAT reporting, including review of deal with Transfer Pricing issues.
  • Present and prepare report for monthly finance meeting and annual performance meeting for senior management.
  • Assist top management & business units to achieve sales target, trim costs, continuously improving the exiting process with (Kaizen mindset) for process streamlining and achieve high productivity.
  • Involved in internal restructuring, capital management, disposal of property, new business initiative and business model.
  • Maintain good relationship with banker to negotiate cost of fund, bank charges structure, terms on offer letter and provide financial information requested by banker for annual review.
  • Deal with Enterprise Singapore for potential grant application and claim process.
  • Free Trade Agreement execution and compliance.
  • In charge of risk management (such credit risk, forex risk and interest risk) and need to review commercial contract & letter of credit to ensure our company interest is protected.
  • Involved in top management strategy formulation – pricing strategy, inventory management strategy, joint venture, production planning (MRP and BOM), financial modeling and cost restructuring.
  • Contact point of cross-departmental activities/initiative/coordination.
  • Other task assigned by CFO/Director/CEO .

The Person

  • Bacherlor's degree in Accountancy or Finance.
  • A CPA with at least 10 years of relevant commercial experience in a regional role.
  • Ability to work as a business partner with cross functional teams.
  • Business savvy, strong conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills and strategic in thinking.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both English and Mandarin (written & oral) to communicate with staff and associates in China.
  • A good level of computer literacy, experience in SAP HANA will be an added advantage.
  • Moderate travel to China is needed.
  • Works well in a diverse environment (multiple countries and matrix reporting).
