RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyse and prepare commentary on the business performance of the Company
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and year end closing of accounts
  • HO reporting, ensuring compliance with HO requirements
  • Liaise with Head Office and Regional Office on the internal reporting
  • Ensure actuarial adjustments are put through on timely basis
  • Provision of information to actuary to facilitate actuarial reserving exercise
  • Review and streamline work processes
  • Co-ordinate and support annual audit
  • Assist in supervision of finance staff
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, regulatory provisions and Group policies as are relevant to the role
  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Accounting
OTHER INFORMATION
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of insurance laws/guidelines and International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Good appreciation of financial and internal controls, with the ability to balance requirements for internal control with efficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, well-organised and systematic.
  • Ability to work in a team environmen
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting regulations, particularly IFRS 17
  • Strong in Microsoft Office Excel
