Reason for Reporting Structure: Direct reporting to the Dean of Faculty of Education or Chief Academic Officer ensures proper academic oversight of postgraduate instruction, maintains quality standards required by our University of Sunderland partnership, and provides strategic alignment with the college's graduate program objectives.

Opportunity : CCAMT seeks a Program Coordinator for the Master of Arts in Education program, ideal for a leader who embodies our core values of lifelong learning, cultural intelligence, interdisciplinary creativity, and accountability. Role Overview:
1. Championing Educational Excellence with Core Values:
- Lead the MA in Education program, integrating CCAMT's values of lifelong learning, social responsibility, and innovation into the curriculum.
- Foster a learning environment that values cultural competencies and interdisciplinary creativity, enabling educators to grow and adapt in a dynamic educational landscape.
2. Curriculum Development and Educational Innovation:
- Oversee a curriculum that offers a blend of core and optional modules, ensuring relevance to global educational trends and alignment with CCAMT's learning framework.
- Encourage innovative teaching and learning strategies that support diverse student needs and professional outreach.
3. Faculty Engagement and Professional Development:
- Lead a team of educators and industry professionals, advocating for approaches that embody CCAMT’s commitment to lifelong learning and collaborative practices.
- Promote professional development focused on contemporary educational research and interdisciplinary practices.
4. Flexible Learning and Research Opportunities:
- Facilitate flexible study modes and distance learning options, accommodating working professionals and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Guide students in research projects, emphasizing the importance of research in advancing educational practice and policy.
5. Student-Centric Approach and Assessment Strategy:
- Implement coursework-based assessments, focusing on developing critical thinking, academic argumentation, and educational resource development.
- Provide comprehensive feedback, supporting independent learning and critical engagement with educational issues.
6. Advocacy for Advanced Educational Careers:
o Guide students towards advanced roles in the education sector, equipping them with skills for academic research and professional excellence.
Program Leadership:
The Program Coordinator is expected to provide academic leadership and teaching expertise across the MA Education curriculum. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated expertise to teach in at least two of the following modules:
Core Modules:
1. EPDM09 - Introduction to Criticality: Develop critical thinking skills, intellectual independence, self-assessment, mental flexibility, creativity, interpretation, and argumentation for educational professionals.
2. EPDM95 - Research Methods in Education: Master educational research principles, research design, data collection and analysis, literature surveys, and research proposal development.
3. EPDM93 - MA Thesis: Supervise substantial independent research projects, guiding students through literature review, methodology, data analysis, and thesis writing (15,000 words).
Elective Modules:
4. EPDM104 - The Curriculum in the Contemporary World: Explore global curriculum development, design theories, inclusive practices, and the societal/political influences on curriculum design.
5. EPDM105 - Leadership, Leader Identity and Educational Organisations: Analyze strategic leadership models, organizational dynamics, ethical leadership, and personal development in educational contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Leadership in Education:
- Ensure high-quality instruction that integrates critical theory, research methods, and contemporary educational issues, reflecting CCAMT’s values.
2. Strategic Planning and Program Management:
- Strategically develop the MA in Education program, aligning with the evolving needs of the education sector and CCAMT’s educational standards.
3. Fostering Student Success in Education:
- Oversee initiatives preparing students for success in advanced educational roles and further academic research, emphasizing accountability and cultural intelligence.
4. Promoting Collaborative and Inclusive Education:
Encourage teaching methods that cater to diverse learning styles and professional backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.Required Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
- Master's degree or higher in Education or a related field, with a strong grasp of educational theories and practices.
2. Professional Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in educational management or academic leadership, with a robust connection to contemporary educational practices.
3. Teaching and Curriculum Development:
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in teaching at higher education level, with at least 1 year at the postgraduate level
- Experience in developing postgraduate curriculum in education, with specific expertise in at least two program modules including critical thinking, research methods, thesis supervision, curriculum development, or educational leadership.
4. Module Teaching Competency:
- Demonstrated expertise and ability to teach in at least two of the five program modules (EPDM09, EPDM95, EPDM93, EPDM104, EPDM105)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in postgraduate-level instruction, particularly in critical thinking, research methods, or educational leadership
5. Leadership and Team Management:
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in an academic environment, fostering creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
6. Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:
- A strong commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the educational setting.
