Food Caller

Position Summary:
The Food Caller acts as the vital communication bridge between the kitchen and service team. This role ensures the timely and accurate dispatch of dishes from the kitchen to the correct tables, maintaining presentation integrity, order accuracy, and service flow. The Food Caller plays a key part in the guest experience and must embody precision, attentiveness, and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the timely calling and handover of dishes from BOH to FOH.
• Match completed food orders to tickets, ensuring accuracy and readiness for serving.
• Ensure food is plated to company standards and that hot/cold dishes are dispatched promptly.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with servers and kitchen staff to manage service flow.
• Check for any missing items or modifications before dispatching orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the pass area and food holding stations.
• Escalate delays or issues to the Head Chef or Restaurant Supervisor immediately.

Requirements:

• At least of 1 year kitchen work experience in Chinese and/or Seafood restaurants required; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong coordination and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of kitchen-to-service flow and basic food presentation.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to work 10 hours shift (6 days work week), weekends, and public holidays.
