About Music Rights (Singapore) Public Limited (MRSS)
MRSS is the collective management organisation (CMO) established to collect music and music video copyrights on behalf of Major Record Companies. It works closely with the Recording Industry Association of Singapore (RIAS).
This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales / Licensing Executive who enjoys music, love protecting the music we love and who thrives in a fast paced and rewarding environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively conduct outreach through calls, emails, and in-person visits to potential licensees
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the licensing base and increase revenue
- Prepare proposals, negotiate licensing terms, and close agreements in line with company objectives
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all licensing and internal procedures
- Monitor timely payment of licensing fees; follow up on outstanding accounts and implement effective collection strategies
- Respond professionally to fee disputes; negotiate payment plans or escalate unresolved cases when necessary
- Assist in preparing reports, forecasts, and updates on licensing performance and collections
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) to ensure seamless customer experience
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Licensing Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in licensing, sales, collections, or revenue assurance roles – Senior role
- Open to all candidates – whether you're starting fresh or exploring a new path, training is provided - Licensing Executive
- Experience in the media, entertainment, or music industry will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with people from all levels
- Experience in sales and entertainment sectors will be advantageous
- Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of Excel is essential.
- Passion for music and possess a genuine affinity to learn the skills, knowledge and attitude specific and unique to the Music Industry
Working Hours
Two Divisions:
9.30am to 6.30pm and 2pm to 11pm (Nightlife Entertainment Division)
