Technical Specialist (SV)

We are looking for a Technical Specialist who has a bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field with 5 years of relevant work experience.

To be successful in this role, you are self-motivated, independent and also enjoy in formulation & technical trouble-shooting. You have strong interpersonal skills and collaborative. Prior knowledge on human nutrition is a major advantage (nutritionist) As you are supporting regional customers, you also need to be willing to travel when necessary.

The Role

• Technical support of regional sales activities
• Handling of technical claims and complaints
• Periodical technical presentations and training of distributors and clients regarding micronutrient fortification technology and concept sharing
• Work closely with Central R&D formulators for development of recipes and premix formulations by project
• Follow-up and delivery / presentation of results to clients and / or channel partners
• Liaison with and advice to clients with regard to product application and problem resolution
• Liaison with Product Management team for proactive and continuous input of ideas for new product concepts, particularly with a view to better localization of product range

What we are looking for

• Degree in Food Science / Nutrition / Chemistry or similar
• Prior knowledge in / focus on human nutrition is a major advantage (nutritionist)
• 5 years professional experience and proven track record in a technical role, preferably with a food industry employer involved with micronutrients or other nutritional or functional ingredients
• Experience in product development / formulation & technical trouble-shooting
• Fluent in English both written and spoken, Mandarin, Bahasa and other Asian languages are an advantage
• Good communications & presentation
