Mid/Senior QA Tester

About the Role

This role focuses mainly on Quality Assurance of mostly backend systems and some development of automation test scripts. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality meets high standards. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with the team to drive continuous improvements in software performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on functional requirements and user stories
• Perform manual and automated testing for APIs, web interfaces, and backend systems
• Participate in bug triaging, root cause analysis, and test coverage improvements
• Contribute to development and maintenance of automated test scripts
• Document test results and support regression testing
• Use tools such as Postman and JMeter to validate backend APIs and performance
• Collaborate with developers and QA leads to ensure timely and high-quality releases

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 4 years in software QA, with a strong background in manual and automation testing.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of REST API concepts, testing practices and hands-on experience with tools like Postman, JMeter, or similar testing platform
• Basic SQL query writing and data validation
• Comfortable using Linux/Bash command-line tools
• Exposure to or interest in automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, PyTest, or Cucumber
• Some experience coding in Java or Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Able to communicate in English & Mandarin verbally and in written to Chinese partners
